And, what did Apple do?
You cannot judge a company by a few faulty parts, as it's bound to happen. I'm sure that every other computer manufacture has the same issues. It's just the fact that not everything produced is perfect. Plus, would you judge Windows by every time is goes to a blue screen?

But they had a huge issue with the newer iMacs (not the just released ones) they were in our office all the time for resisters blowing. And, yes I've used a mac for a while as an experiment and it was a terrible computing experience for me. I hated it!

No worries at all, it just was a bit disconcerting right out of the box.
Apple didnt do anything afaik, the store I bought it from installed and replaced the part free of charge a $350 job for free.
No way was I lettin my mini go since i had waited a few months on a waiting list to get it customized!

Sounds like a liberal leftist point of view...my machine has never had a blue screen, and it has never crashed.

Only untill a back door disables your firewall and even reformating hardrive doesnt help hahaha.
Why do these threads always turn into OS battles... I think if your going to judge any OS you need to use it on a regular basis, if you don't use it often your not educated enough to argue the facts.
The bottom line is your going to use what your comfortable with. I personally have an XP machine 2003 AD server and two Macs. Its a tool to get a job done, in some cases its a toy to play games on, or even a communication device. I'm in IT so I need to know all platforms and I love and hate them all. My OS of choice is OSX and Debian, but I'm typing on my G4 Powerbook running Tiger.
I thought they were moving to a Red screen of death screen in Vista?
Rockrz: for the third time, have you ever used OS X for any duration of time or are you just here to bash a company that you don't know the name to?

Can you give us some specific examples of the times that you have used OSX and found it to be inferior?
I ask this because in your rantings I can find no evidence of your exposure to the OS. It may help your credability in this discussion if you can actually give us some details. As it stands you are coming across as some kind of mis-informed moron.
I have used this OS and I don't like it, which is why I stay with Bill's product. I think macs suck, which is my right based on what I've seen and experienced. And, yes it has been within this past year that I experimented with the o/s that you mac people claim is so good.
It's a free world, and we all have the right to associate ourselves with what we like. I like Windows because it performs very well for me and I don't have any of the problems that mac users claim I'm having.
Even the big recording studios are now going to windows because it out performs macs (recording studios have traditionally used macs for years) No matter how you slice it, Windows rules the world!
If you mac people can't accept that, maybe you should go look at the latest sales figures.

Rockrz, you know that Apple's coming out with x86-based Macs next year right? Then the only major difference between an Apple and your average homemade whitebox or Dell will be the OS. Your hardware/performance numbers will mean little then since it will mostly be about what OS you prefer using.

That's fine, I'm just saying your performance numbers won't mean much when both OSes are running on the same hardware.
Personally I use both OSX and Windows at work and they both have their ups and downs. One isn't necessarily any better than the other overall.

I originally posted this thread just as a way for me to exude my happiness that I've now made the switch. I think I accomplished that, and I think I've made it clear that I think OS X is superior. With that said, people have once again started another flamefest. I have nothing wrong with discussions, but when you drop from a discussion into a situation where you ignore people's points and instead make unqualified statements, that's just a bit boring intellectually.
It was fun while it lasted. Then it was a yawn.
