Although the main site was launched in June of 2000, the forums weren't launched until this past April, when the site itself was redesigned and refocussed.

The forums are basically a gathering place for people discussing their love of the heavy metal genre, and we also host branded official forums for a few bandsites, which help get us a lot of new members, who then go on to explore the other, more general, forums.

We run vBulletin, which has been a great advantage in keeping members, who love the features, having mostly come from other sites that tend to use the likes of EzBoard etc.

Any tips, critiques, or anything else are welcome

Ah, I love metal.

One suggestion, you could perhaps have a clearer heading or an image at the top of the forums.

Thanks for the reply I know what you mean; we're redesigning very soon, and will bring the forums in (with header image) at that time
