    cookies disabled. What to do?

    Hello,
I would like to know what would we do in a script if web users disable cookies features in their web browser? I've tested this Sitepoint forum and when I disabled cookie features in my web browser, it won't let me reply or post a message, and it kept asking me entered username and password, but it did nothing. I'm not sure if this is what most programmers design the applications this way.

    Thanks in advance,
    John

Maybe you could use sessions instead?

One way to do this is to store the session ID in your database and pass it via the URL.

But, I had no idea how to do this yet

I think it was freddydoesphp who had some session handling functions, that interacted with the database, which could shed some light on how to do this, and check things while passing it through the url

Would this still use cookies at all or not?
Oh no! the coots are eating my nodes!
