Altavista's new option to add your URL "Trusted Feed"

While at AltaVista today submitting a clients web site I came across AltaVista?s newest add URL option. The trusted feed. This is the first I seen
about this feature. I'm not sure when it came out but I guess it's come out just recently.

This is the brief summary from A.V. that explains it.

"Enables you to submit 500 or more pages into the global database that powers AltaVista's search results. The service further enables submission of custom titles, keywords and abstracts and provides you with highly qualified traffic through weekly updates. Web pages are submitted via an XML data feed."

Does anyone have any information about this? Has anyone used it or do they plan on using it?

it is their version of a PPC

they are all (cept maybe Google) leaning towards pure pay for inclusion - be it straight PFI or PPC...
