    Zend Tools

What does everyone thing to the Zend products? The Zend IDE? The Zend Encoder? Does anybody use them? What do you think? Do you have any ideas for improvement? (Not that I can make the changes, but maybe we all come up with some ideas and send them in one big email).

I'm just interested to see what other people think about them.

For those that don't know, Zend are the people behind the PHP core engine - The Zend Engine.

Zend IDE == two thumbs down. Too much $$$$.
It is written in Java and gets bogged down and sometimes becomes as slow as molasses in winter!!

The Zend Encoder is a great idea but it is too expensive for the average joe to be able to afford.

I can't speak for the IDE, but I was REALLY looking forward to the Encoder until I found out how much. Besides the fact that the user's server has to have it installed on it to decode. (Doesn't it?)

Only the Zend Optimizer (And PHP of course) need to be installed on the server in order to use Encoded files.
