    what wrong with this line of code.....

    echo("<form method=\"post\" action=\"". $PHP_SELF . "\">\nmember: <input type=\"text\" name=\"member\" size=\"15\"><br>\npassword: <input type=\"password\" name=\"password\" size=\"15\"><br>\n<input type=\"submit\" value = \"Login!\"></form>");

    it's virtually standalone in the script and on the page i get action=""

    try action=\"\". $PHP_SELF . \"\"> Usually I just put action=$PHP_SELF or action=\"$PHP_SELF\"

    Is this in a function? If so you need global $PHP_SELF right inside the function.

    heh I agree on magicscripts here (if it's in a function, freddy is right, but as you say it's a standalone script...)

    just use action=\"$PHP_SELF\"
