    referer

    Hello,
Say after I click a submit button in the form, for example, and it will check the action field and executes x.php. In the x.php script when I check the http_referer field, do I have a guarantee that it will contain the url of the form in any web browsers?

    Thanks in advance,
    John

It works with al major browsers BUT you should never rely on it for security or anything like that. Malicious users can fake the HTTP_REFERER and thus mess you around if you're relying on it for anything important.
