Surprisingly no - i have been coding for a couple of years - but not really that much commercially. I reread the study guide / test book 3 times, and based on the questions in the exam, i can safely say that that is why i passed.

I was expecting it to be a lot harder..

Ah ha! What company do you work for? I work in Hythe.

It was a mix of lots of really random stuff. I noticed that the practice exam book is about on the net, so take alook at that to get a better picture,

Is it hard or what? I mean I've got the study guide & also based on the example questions that I've seen on Zend's website, it doesn't look hard, still I think that it'll be hard & I don't know much & I'll fail & that's why I keep pushing the date further & further!!

Choose a date and just go for it. All you have to do is memorize everything in the guide and you'll be sorted. I read through it a couple of times, then i did 3 solid days of revision (with online poker breaks). As long as you know what's in the manual, you'll find it easy ( and you don't have to do any extra studying outside the manual either)

No, ZCE(Zend Certified Engineer) is just a professional certification that means that you are certified by the PHP company to possess competitive PHP coding skills!! Its just like other professional Certifications like MCSE, MCSD, RHCE etc.

I don't think that 70% is required!! a bit less than that, maybe 60% or 50%.

    70 questions in 85 minutes.

They don't let out the passing grade either.
