    Credit Card affiliate programs

You've all seen them: Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express, Joe and Bob's easy credit, etc. They all have affiliate programs paying some pretty nice commissions ($3-$30), but what kind of conversions do they get? What success have you had? Which cards work best? What methods of linking have you used?

Fill me up with some stories, I'd love to hear.

Just off of memory, NextCard used to pay out around $20. At a .25 conversion rate, that's about 3 cents per click on a non-targeted website, that's great.

I only made around $125 with NextCard, it was however when NextCard was new in the market I belive 6-8 months ago... However a lot of people are trying to get credit cards still no one wants to use cash and credit is the way. I believe credit card ads are still a viable way of income and if you target to an audience of 18 and up I am sure you could get CPC's of .40 and up...

Zonify, you say you got a CPC of .25 and that you made about $125 all up. What I would like to know is roughly how did that work out as an effective CPM? Or another way of looking at the same thing would be what proportion of click-throughs actually converted into a sale?

I averaged something like $25 dollars for every 100 clicks... Meaning out of every 100 clicks one person got approved. As long as people do infact sign-up say... 15% and 5-10% of those who sign up get accepted you earn a good cpc...

Interesting. Well according to those figures then (very rough I know) that's an effective CPM of $0.625

I don't see where you get cpm from as I never mentioned how many impressions I served... I ran them for three days, earned the minimum and dropped out... I got around 450,000 impressions in those 3 days, so for me it was like a .33 cpm

Ah, yes, I C my error. All these three-letter abbreviations get me confused

I had confused CPC for CTR. I was working on a CTR of 0.25% when you had stated a CPC of $0.25. Mia culpa.
