.htaccess not working in my browser?

    Hi Folks.

I have setup a htaccess file to protect a directory, and it works fine for people viewing the site on their browsers, but when i view the site from my browser, I dont see the htaccess login?!

I have tried clearing the cache, deleting temp files etc, I even created a new dir and uploaded the htaccess, and still no love.

Has anyone seen this b4 or is it just totally weird?

    Cheers,
    Paul.

Really weird since .htaccess is controlled by the webserver. One thing that is possible is that you have already authenticated yourself, and it will not be displaying the login box next time.

would say its really weird. Since htaccess is controlled via the server I cant explain why thats going on.

Try another browser to see if it works.
