netscape memory problem...

i'm trying to load up my sister-in-law's personal webpage and i get this error message in navigator 4.7 when attempting to load the site. everything stops loading once i click the 'ok' in the alert box:


Netscape is out of memory.

Try quitting some other applications or closing some windows.


i don't have any other windows open and i have 144mb ram. i've rebooted to no avail.

is anyone aware of any memory leaks, preference settings or other problems that may be causing this alert? i haven't had any problems with 4.7 until this...

Strange. Try reinstalling the software. Or use IE. Think back to what changes you made to the computer before you got the error and that will help you determine the cause. Good luck.

How much free hard drive space?

Also, check how much space on your harddrive is allocated to the browser cache. If it gets too full, you can experience memory problems like yours. You can do it by going from Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Cache (I think, it may differ a little.)
