    This works for Firefox:

    Go to "Tools", choose "options".

There should be a section in the "General" area called "Default Browser". Check the box, restart Firefox, and it should ask you if you want to set it as your default browser. Click "Yes".

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, click Set Program Access and Defaults, click the Custom arrow, setup your choice of stuff, click OK.

Hi, if you want to do it right from Mozilla: Edit menu -> Preferences..., select [Navigator] category, push [Set Default Browser] button. The only thing i don't like is Mozilla icons for html/xml files

In the default browser section it says "Mozilla is already your default browser" and the "Set as default Browser" button is disabled..

But like from msn messenger if i try to go directly to my mail it opens in a Internet Explorer web browser..

    Why is that?

    Post Some apps choose

For example, Lotus Notes opens all links in IE, even though I have Firefox set as my default.

I don't like to use MSIE with other MS apps too. Is it possible to do some sort of a hack, i.e MSIE is just executable file, so it can be replaced with Mozilla executable somehow?

There is no such option/choice (Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, click Set Program Access and Defaults) under Windows 2003
