No more query strings with ASP.

ASP/IIS is the one language/server without an easy method to create dynamic urls without a query string.

But I happened across this program today.

    http://singapore.cnet.com/download/p...54989s,00.htm?

that allows you to do that.

    So happy coding.

    Hi,

The other one as in that ISAPI module?

No, it runs on two pages, one that creates the urls and one that discyphers them (custom 404 page)

I wasn't aware that you could create custom 404 pages in IIS.

I'm not a big fan of IIS though.

    THANKS

I saw something like this on the web before, but it was very messy and when I finished doing it, it didn't work .

    Very nice link

Yup, go into the Managment Console, find the web we want to add a custom page for (or the folder) then right click, propertise and over on your right you will see "Custom Error's"

    Why don't you like IIs?

IIS rocks. Custom error pages rock. Unfortunately, my host doesn't. can't wait for our contract to be up.

Sorry, had to throw that in there. Thanks for the tips, guys!

Why? Because its a pain to manage remotely. You need the server admin for everything. And it runs on NT. Apache is just so much easier to use.

So basically if you're the server admin you can set a custom error for the entire server?

So no real way to do it if you're on a virtual server.
