    Javascript debugging how?

If I write a Javascript and want to debug it, what's the best way to do it. The browser just says, "error in the page!"

IE 5.5 does not indicate line number? Sorry I've not used IE 5.5 for any extensive period of time so I really have no idea, but try looking in your Internet Options => Advanced. There might be a setting there.

Ironically the best Javascript debugger I've used was the one in Netscape 4.x.

I found the option you mentioned, and now it say it's waiting or looking for an object. Can you shed some light on that?

Check your function name. You seem to be calling a function that does not exist.
