Microsoft isn't $7 million richer. $5 million is going toward the fight against spam (that may be chump-change for Microsoft but to an anti-spam company that is a mountain of cash,) $1 million is going to Microsoft's Unlimited Potential Program to help underprivileged kids in New York get broader access to computers, and the remaining money is being used to pay the fees that were required for this lawsuit to take place (lawyers, for example.)
