    Question on Itunes and quicktime

I already had quicktime installed on my computer before I installed itunes, yet when I installed itunes it again installed quicktime and now when I start my computer up I always get the little quicktime icon in my task bar. Is there anyway I can just go in and make the little icon no exsist without making quicktime not exsist? I've just been right clicking on the icon and "exiting" out of it which I know is easy to do, but I was just curious.

    Thanks

right click on the icon, go to the "Preferences" option and untick the option to show the icon in the system tray.
