    php, mysql, apache size

there is alot of information on apache, php, mysql out there, but what I can't find is the size of each conponent.

I know that it all varies depending on what options are installed or setup, but is there a rough idea of the sizes or is there an intial size figure that I could go by.

    ???wondering???
    thanks,
    brennen

here's what they are taking up on my system after installation.

    Apache: w/o manual ~3MB, w/ manual ~5MB i think
    PHP: ~7MB
    MySQL: w/o docs ~21MB, w/ docs ~25MB

Taking out the fluff.... phpdev3 weighs in at about 8MB zipped- thats with MySQL3.23+GUI/PHP4.01/apache1.3.19/phpMyAdmin - but without any documentation (apart from licenses etc)

    phpdev4 is gonna be fatter!

Hmmm, not sure that would fit on my Hyundai 286 (with its 8Mhz processor). The HDD is only 10MB. I must plug it in oneday, see if it still boots.

Judging from the reliability of Hundai cars, if your computer is anywhere near as reliable as their cars, it probably won't still boot.

BTW, if you get MySQL without the benchmarks (for some stupid reason the source targz includes them all), it's much lighter. Nowhere near 21MB.
