    Netscape font differs from MSIE

    Hello all

    I have a weird problem with Netscape...

    Please take a look at this site
    http://www.carrellrogers.com

    At the bottom the copyright text is bigger in Netscape then MSIE (That's the size I want it) Also the blue tips font is bigger the in MSIE. I admit I am not the best HTML coder around but this really make no sence to me cause all the rest of the text is fine in both browsers...

    Anyone any I ideas what's wrong?

    Thanks in advange

    The reason that happens is because the font size is specified using relative font sizes, (i.e. "-2") which displays differently in both browsers. To fix this, use CSS. I'm assuming you don't know it, but add this to the copyright text at the bottom. So find this code in your page (it's near the bottom):
    Code:
    <font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="-2" color="#666666">
    Copyright 2001 - Carrell Rogers Flooring. All Rights Reserved.<br>
    <font color="#999999">---Site Design by E.M.Blad---</font></font>
    And replace it with this:
    Code:
    <span style="font-size : 10px ; color : #666666 ; font-family : arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
    Copyright 2001 - Carrell Rogers Flooring. All Rights Reserved.<br />
    <span style="color : #999999;">---Site Design by E.M.Blad---</span></span>
    That will clear up your problem. I would also recommend learning CSS -- that way you can make all of your pages compliant. Some great tutorials can be found at:
    Webmonkey
    as well as
    DevShed
    Good luck and happy coding!

    Hi Aes,

    Thanks a bunch for the quick reply!
    Some of the page is allready CSS
    For some reason I had the same problems then so I deleted that class with the same results. Now I have added the class back, but with pixel font instead of relative and it works

    Again thanks a bunch!!
