    FAQ Script?

Does anyone know of an FAQ script with at least the following (i've checked hotscripts and resourceindex but none seem to have all this) preferably PHP/MySQL, but perl would be ok:

Template Based pages/layouts (to easily fit them with different layouts in case I want to use one script with more than one website)

Allows for multiple subcategories like :

    FAQ
    VFAQ
    Stuff
    Section A
    Section A Part 1
    Section B
    Section b Part One
    (etc..)

ability for users to ask/answer/comment on questions/answers.

    Searchable

"Printer Friendly" able (click a link and it reformats for printability)

Category/Question list on one page, all answers on thier own separate page.

I think that's it, anything extra would probably be ok.
Thanks if you can help or just read my message

    Brian,

This probably is not the answer you're looking for, but try reading Kevin Yank's great article, How to Build a Database-Driven Web Site Using PHP & MySQL and develop the script yourself.

I had this same kind of problem where I wanted this elaborate script, and everybody told me to do it myself.

And in the end, it felt pretty good to look at all that code and say, "I did that." Plus, you can add as many features as you want (provided you know the code).

agreed. for something like that you'd definitely be better off making your own.

That was going to be my second choice. I just got PHP and MySQL Web Development (the book) and I have PHP Essentials (also a book) and figured if there was nothing available I would have to make one especially since I have no desperate need for this script (I'm currently using Self Serve FAQ, but I was looking for a replacement)

    Thanks.
