    reformatting xp pro?

I got this computer from the local college when they got upgrades, but got no disc for it. Its got a small 7gig hd, 128 mb of ram, and is like 88% full. Getting a new computer is not an option at this time.

I need to reformat it, but have never done it before. Is there anywhere that has a list of what needs to be done, etc? Ill post my computer specs if that will help, thanks.

you will not be able to format without either the recovery cd or operating system disk. I would sugest that you delete all unwanted files and uninstall all unwanted programs.

If you get the disk then you simply insert it, restart the pc and follow the instructions.
They are pretty easy to follow.

Browning, if you borrow and XP disc and use your key that will work fine. As for drivers, XP has most of them already built in so you shouldn't need to download any yourself, but if you want you can its best to go straight to the developers web site to download them so you are sure to get the most up to date versions.
