    A good photo stock CD?

I am looking for a good stock photo CD to help me with my web designs.
The type of thing i am looking for are pics of satelites, keyboards, computer equipment, buisness people, laptops, fibre optic wires, etc.
The kind of thing that is used in corporate looking web sites.

I have been astounded by the large amount of photo stock discs available and i dont know which one to purchase.

I am looking for one specifically geared towards web design.
I really need a royalty free cd with as many photos on it as possible ( Not Corel! ).
I could also do with a cd with pre prepaired graphics, for example : icons, background effects, computer generated (not photos) pics of satelites, keyborads, computer equipment, telephones , laptops, etc.

Can anyone help with some suggestions ?
I really dont want to fork out for a Disc which doesn't contain the type of pics i want.

Please give suggestions, i am desperate , surely there must be an industry standard cd available for web designer's?

    Hi,

You asked about the price and I must warn you that if you want good, high quality pictures you should expect to pay quite a lot for them. I don't know about the others but Photodisc and imagesource.com often have some CDs on special offers. With the special offers you can pick the CDs up for aroudn $100-$200 dollars.

I would also reccomend ordering a catalog from imagesource (and any other sites that offer them for free) as it is a lot easier to see what will be on each CD through the catalog. They can also be quite a good source of inspiration aswell.

Artville is good as well, but they are all illustrations.

Average prces for a CD full of images would be anywhere from $100-$500 depending on who you bought them from.

If you are billing a client, I would think that another easy way to access stock-images is via one of the web sites such as www.photodisc.com Where you can purchase and dl individual images, starting at US$30.

Not as good, but cheaper is www.photospin.com .I am sure there are many other sites too. I am not a designer, just a hoarder of links

    I am not worthy...

Thanks for all the help people.

You have all been very cool, i only wish there was a stock photo cd with a few thousand images on it for under $500 , i guess its time to charge my customers more to make back the money.

    Thanks again
