    Can I connect two wireless PCs without a router?

    If so, how?

    Ad-Hoc networking = Bad Thing

    either run a Cat5 between the two or wait a bit and buy a router. You can eat an adhoc network for breakfast in less than an half an hour regardless of the attempts at security.
