    Notice: Undefined index:

    hi all
havnt touched php awhile and i thought id get back into it so i pulled up an old login script that i made, it worked all fine and dandy when i made it, i have since done a fresh reinstall on my machine, reinstalled everything on my pc, so i pulled up the old script went to test it out and now i get

Notice: Undefined index: uid in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\index.php on line 22

now it worked fine before, i was just wondering if it has something to do with installing an upgraded version on php and mysql.

    Thanks for your help

You are seeing that because PHP is configured to show E_NOTICE errors. Everything will still work fine; the notice is just to let you know of possible bugs in your code. You did not receive the notice before because error_reporting was set to 'E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE' (show all errors, excluding notices). This setting can be changed in php.ini, and more information can be found here.
