    Sitepoints?

    Hi,

    How does the sitepoints works?

Do you get 1 point for every post and reply?

When do you get a new "sitepoint arrow"? What are the intervalls?

    0-100 1 arrow?
    100-200 2 arrows?

    I canīt figure this out.

Those arrows you were talking about under everyones name are called badges. You get a badge for every number of posts you get to, not for SitePoints.

    Here's the scale:
    0-9 Posts: 1 Badge
    10-99 Posts: 2 Badges
    100-199 Posts: 3 Badges
    200-399 Posts: 4 Badges
    400-599 Posts: 5 Badges

There's one more badge, but I'm not positive about it's numbers. I think it's 600-999 Posts is 6 Badges, but then I don't know what 1,000+ posts would be.

    Anyways, that's how badges go.

I think that 600+ is "Gold member" and 1,000+ is "Gold member" and 6 badges.

Anything over 600 is 5 badges (see me?) until 1000 at which point you get 6 (and that's all you can get, to my knowledge).

As an aside, where can I see my sitepoints (if they've even been implemented)?

Your number of SitePoints can be seen on the Forums homepage (if you're logged in) to the right of the screen underneath where is says "logged in as ......"

I always go straight to http://www.sitepointforums.com/search.php?action=getnew . I'm not subscribed to any threads or anything like that.

There are various ways to accumulate SitePoints. Submitting articles to the Crier, I believe, is one way, and also referrals. You have a referral id to use which can be found in your control panel.

Once the points system is fully implemented, you'll be able to award other members too, I think. As Wayne has explained in another thread (don't have time to go find it as I'm replying to this quickly before I dish up dinner!), the SitePoints will be the forum's currency.

Normally, you get one point for each reply, and three points for each new topic. You also get points for various other things as Saz has said.
