no difference in traffic for me, just the click-ratios on the ads which are interestingly lower than the previous months...

Also since many people only have Internet access via work or school, there are a lot fewer people able to access the Internet during the summer months.

For those experiencing significant drops in traffic, they should start to see traffic begin to increase come the end of September.

So that explains the whole sudden traffic drop in web site's traffic. Very interesting.

I've noticed an increase this summer, the thing is a lot of it is younger high school students, so I imagine when school starts up again I'll see a decrease in the younger visitors since they're at school and an increase again in the college students which did slow down.

Guess it depends on your target niche. Mine is related to summer sports and I see my highest hits during the end of spring through early fall, then it hibernates for the winter. Too bad my bills cant hibernate for 4-6 months too.

"why havent you paid your bills for the past couple months"
-"oh, well my income is currently hibernating. Check back in a few months"

    Hey,

This is a really cool thread, I never even thought about some of the things mentioned here, but they all make a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing guys/dolls.

    Cheers.

I realized that my traffic was not going down, just the payouts on the advertisements. I began making only half CPM what I was in the last 6 days of the month.

I usually base my traffic off the ad income, but when I looked at my awstats everything was normal.

I am hoping that August is my toughest month and I get rewarded in September.

I have experienced a major traffic and revenue decline from July-August. I adjusted some ads and have been updated more frequently and that has shown a small bounce back, but nothing significant. Im hoping for the end of summer into fall internet push that happens and hoping people will get on their computers a bit more

How many people have ever thought that they would be looking forward to the start of school even without being a parent?
