My internet speed is 100mbps but it is running as low as 33.6kbps for a past few days....
My computer speed is the same as it used to be.... but the speed of internet is getting slower and slower.... and every webpage takes more than 2-3 mins to load.... even the google...
it sounds like you are running a router of some kind.
Clear your cache, it's more detrimental to performance sometimes than beneficial, try rebooting the router, and also run through the network setup wizard if neither of those work.
If that doesn't fix it then you need to do some speedtests from various websites.
It sounds like you're a bit confused.
Routers can transfer data at 100mbps (megabits per second), but that's NOT your internet connection speed. That's the speed that it can transfer data from your modem TO your computer NOT from the internet to your modem.
Are you running on dialup or broadband of some sort?
To my knowledge the only decently-priced, consumer broadband in existance that can support 100mbps is Verizon's FiOS. That's not cheap.
And if you are running a bb connection that said it supports speeds of 100mbps, you BETTER call them up and let them know.
I am running cable internet connection provided by Optimum Online... the cable wire doesn't directly connect to my computer... it goes through the router which connects to 4 computers (including mine) in the network...
My computer is the only one which is running slower... not the others in the network..
So, I assume the problem is neither with the router, the cable modem, or the internet connection.....
