Downloading music?
Is there anywhere I can go do download mp3's to burn a CD which will not load my PC up with TONS of junk?
I prefer to pay for them so I don't land in prison sometime in the near future. I know there are sites out there now where you can pay like .99 per song or something like that? Or am I wrong?

Napster is safe. There is also Walmart Music and iTunes by Apple.

Just note that if you use Napster that ALL of the songs you download won't work if you stop your monthly subscription. iTunes you will own all the songs you download, but you will only be able to play them on 5 computers I think. (iPod doesn't count)

I would rather buy a cd then download a proprietary music file.

What I was thinking about doing was using Napster Lite where you just pay .99 to download songs and you can burn them to a cd.
Can you use itunes in this way? I didn't research the site to well last night, it was late.

I personally use eMusic. The songs are a bit more underground (I personally like the selection) but you get real Mp3s and it is pretty cheap. I have been happy so far.
