The most WORTHLESS key on your keyboard

Well since boredom seems to be running rampant today Ill add into the mindless silliness (not bored just not motivated)

I got a new keyboard a while back and as usual I forgot my standard keyboard customization until it had screwed up some code on me again. Customization? You say .... yuppers! On every keyboard Ive ever owned (except my laptops that is) I remove the insert key, chop that back plunger off of it so it unusable and put it back into the keyboard..



WHY? Cause if I dont every freaking time I go to hit the delete key I manage to hit it too and dont realize it until Ive overtyped 10 or 15 lines of code (or whatever) .... what a USELESS freaking key it is.. absolutely HATE IT!

So I nominate the insert key as "most useless key on the keyboard" any other nominations or seconds to my nomination?

Dude, that's nothing. My insert key is next to the freaking space bar, and the delete key is right next to it on the other side. It's such a pain.

You can get a new keyboard for like $10 you know

Scroll lock is probably the most useless key on my keyboard. The only thing I use it for is the KVM switch I have at work, and even then I usually just push the big button on the switch itself rather than using the keyboard to switch PCs.

Scroll lock is probably the most useless key on my keyboard.

When I first got this style keyboard (one of those MS "natural" keyboards) I hit it by mistake ... took me hours to figure out why the third light in the middle of the keyboard was lit up!

I still don't know what scroll lock does. And I've never used a bunch of the function keys. I've never used Pause/Break either.

The combination of the Window Key and the Pause/Break button will bring up the System Properties in Windows .

Ill also have to add (in 2nd place) the old "Windows" key ... another worthless piece of poop. I mean seriously, how hard is it to click the start menu button anyways!

I can't live without my windows key.

I use it constantly (mainly as minimize all. shift+windows+m uniminizes everything).
I'm very keyboard-oriented.
I can't type way faster (and more accurately) then I can point and click (damn tendonitis/CPS).
Shortcuts are my life.

I use Win+M and Win+R fairly often.
