    Prepared statements removed from MySQL?

    hi,

    i wanted to ask you why prepared statements are removed from MySQL 5.0.9 and does MySQL want to replace them with any other feature?
    they are vital to some projects, when will be these features(to execute a dynamic query) added to MySQL again? will them be added in next release?

    i can't find any reference to prepared statements being removed in mysql 5. why do you think they were removed?

    hi,
    sorry i didn't tell i wanna use them in SPs. but i emailed webmaster of MySQL development and they told me that prepared statements are removed from MySQL 5.0.9 and you get syntax error if you use them.
    i examined this on 5.0.7 but it crashes when i call this SP 2 times.
    these are some resources:
    SQL syntax for prepared statements cannot be used within stored procedures and functions.
