Thinking to change the layout of web pages in order more SEO friendly

    Hello,

I have read a lot about how the layout of table will affect the SEO, i.e. navigation menu on the left and the main contents on the right.

I am thinking of changing the layout of my web pages - main contents on the left and the navigation menu on the right. However it seems a bit ugly in design!

    Please provide some suggestions.

I'd like to read these articles - because from my experience Bots ignore navigation, they understand which text belongs to navigation unless it's the only text on the page.

The things he is talking about is where the content is on the left panel and so is found by the bots much easily.

the bot will find the content either way. Doesn't really matter how "easy" you make it to find. It's a computer, you're talking nanoseconds.

    Hi,

Yes, I totally agree with that. However some articles also mentioned that:
    1. Some bots only read the first few lines (some say the first 2K or 3K) of a web page. Therefore it is very important to put the "main contents" on the first few lines.

    2. Put the "main contents" on the first few lines will rank better.

Actually I am just trying and testing every possibility to rank better. This should be a fun experiment. This is better to do something rather than hoping my website will rank better by magic some day.

It may help, however depending on what engines you want to get traffic from your time may be better spent getting links or writing content. A powerful link will beat any on page optimization.
