I prefer actors that aren't hugely popular, since you can see their movie-personality better (as opposed to just knowing their real personality).

It was both. It was a live album from Paris, plus 1 new studio song ("Some Kind of Monster"). It was a pretty good album (2004 I think) -- Motorbreath, Ride the Lightning, The Four Horsemen, Damage Inc, Hit the Lights, Leper Messiah.
