    Easy add Article?

I want to create site that user can add article in my website

the article that user can add consist of
    1. Text
    2. user can easily set format of text such as Bold, Italic, Underline, Link, and other like post new topic in this forum.
    3. user can insert picture. I think picture is a big problem for me because for format can be one big picture in the center, two picture in the center, if picture small it is left and text is right of picture.
    4. user can add data table or statictic table.
    5. Interface is easy to understand for user, I see typo3 it is very complex.

To do this, Is any add article code program for free? Thanks

An interesting thing about php is its "strip_tags" function. Simply pass it the string of information then pass it the allowed html tags. This works really well with only allowing the formatting you want. Otherwise you might have people putting in nasty <script> tags or <title> tags.. =)
    Here:
    $newText = strip_tags($text,"<b>,<i>");

    And the Function documentation:
    http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.strip-tags.php

Guess I didn't finish hmm.. for a picture you could parse a img tag but that could be quite cumbersome. You could provide a javascript box similar to what sitepoint does and limit the height and width when placing it into the page and for tables provide something similar to sitepoints list feature.. which could help.

best thing to probably do is find a simple script with the bare essentials and then hack the mess out of it. i'm thinking of making my own article script eventually.

best advice is to get the simple script and hack it up cause you gonna have to probably hack any article script you get anyway.

Only draw back with Newspro, is that it draws the information out of a text file, which is a bit slow, it uses CGI, and also itsource was after an article script, rather than a news one.

    You could try mArticle
    http://www.esuitetoday.com/marticle.php

However, if you could/can (??) I would suggest you make it yourself.

i'm actually using marticle which is pretty easy to customize but it could be more streamlined but whatever.

i'm about to make my own with picture upload for the writers and maybe picture previews for each article. let me finish this damn audio script first though.
