Yesterday I ventured into the wonderful world of PEAR and found myself like a kid in a sweetshop. The endless possibilities stretched in front of me and I started to get genuinely excited about my work for the first time in months. And then ....
I do all my development on a local server which I then upload to a shared host. So obviously I need to be able to run my PEAR packages from a local copy rather then demanding that my host bows to my every whim. I did a bit of searching and found that indeed this is possible according to 'Installing a local copy of PEAR through FTP' . However I have come totally unstuck at the point of running the command:
pear config-create -w C:\remote\pear remote.ini
I keep getting the error message:
Command '-w' is not valid
When I remove the '-w' I get the same error with 'config-create'. My version of PEAR installed is 1.4.0a12.
Does anyone have any ideas of where I'm going wrong?:'(
