OK...So I held out for about 3 hours playing this game while I did work.
Sat down and decided to watch the entire thing without hitting the skip button.
The intro was astounding. They blended CG and live action shots of an engine being "combusted". The internal part I mean. They basically had a camera move through a racecar engine as it was starting up. Lots of flames and smoke and mist, metal and chrome.
Very cool.
It kept going and started playing some "demos" of the racing. I can't freaking believe that it was not real pictures. Plus the soundtrack in the background was a wacked out version of Lenny Kravitz's "Are you Going My Way".
Very cool.
Once that was done, I started playing. As I mentioned before, I'm not much into racing games so I might have overworked this game in my head. It was fun to play and the realism is incredible. But I only played 2 or 3 games before turning it off and switching to Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. Now, (sowen), let me say that I not disappointed with GT3. I plan on playing it more than I did for sure. I'm just hooked on Gauntlet right now.
I did not play the "arcade version" which lets you work your way through the various cars and tracks. I only played the quick version which lets you race once. I think that this game would be far more enjoyable with a few mates over and some beer. There is a satellite system called the "iLink" that allows you to play with up to 6 people in one game. How amazing is that?
I'll give you more thoughts in this thread once I've played it more.

, but I'm just curious.
