Hrm... that is very strange, you should not have been asked to register at all, you can do pretty much everything without registering, the only reason one would want to register is when they ask a question and want to be able to come back and find all their questions again on one screen. Please let me know if anyone else runs into this problem.
To answer som other questions, the only reason I have google add is because I want this page to be free for all, but I have to pay for bandwidth, advertising and such. Eventually when the page becomes popular I will get rid of it and just use my affiliate adds but that is far from now.
The dog is to bring some life to the page, many people complained that it was to plain and I agree, it is to fetch answers but perhaps it is not the best idea. I am very open to suggestions!

Your site is not visually appealing at all. Organization and color themes are key. Get rid of the seemingly completely random dog at the top and make the navigation links place in a box with rounded corners. Set a background color, use gradients, drop shadows! Get creative.

I submitted a press release article to
    www.articlefinders.com
    www.buzzle.com
    www.articlebin.com

I know the one on articlebin got published but I don't know about the rest, they say that they will have to review the artice before it gets published but they don't send a letter saying it has been published.

Any suggestions where else to publish, how ofter to publish on the same board.

Any alternative press release pages I should try, which one did people have the most success with?

Also www.helpmesarchfor.com is finally on yahoo, msn and ask jeves, google has it sometimes, which i thought was kind of strange

    IMPORTANT!
This might be very interisting to some of you who have been following the faith of this webpage, I have been monitoring some unusually high traffic from msn bot and it looks like it has finally paid off. There are actually people finding the webpage and posting questions. So for people in similar positions to mine, Doing the manual submit to msn is actually worth it! ... Google was doing somethign similar for a while but noone came from there

    The idea is good.
But I think you should read about graphic formats. Your 5 smal and very simple images have total size 68 Kb. Your logo = 24 Kb. It is not reasonable. In cases like that use (.gif) format. For example the main page of my site consists of 30 Kb of code and 56 Kb of graphic.
P.S. Use (.jpg) format for photos.
I apologise for my severe criticism.

Actually it is funny you mention that becouse when I was doing the graphics I was thinking of the very same issue. I'm not happy with the size of the little images. a 35x35 picture should not be 10k but I just didn't have time to deal with it, but I will do it now for sure. I'm sure it will make dialup people happy. Thanks YRI

I like the site in general, however it is very plain. Orange and white are the only colours i remember.

I like the idea, it loads fast which is good because my internet sucks. But there are some things that can be done to fix it up a little.

Perhaps add a little blue...blue and orange always mix well together (as you can see with sitepoint). Just experiment with a few things. See what works well

It looks good to me. You could probably do a few things to make it a little more vibrant if you wish, but keep it simple. A more colorful header and navigation may help. I think the "Welcome" and "News" entries are in the wrong spot. Usually the welcome comes first. So I would do this:

    Column 1 - Column2
    Welcome -- Search for box
    News -------- Questions

    Hope this helps.

The reason why its backwards is becouse this page is aimed at people who aren't all that familliar with the web so I want them to see what the page does rigth a way. If they are interested they can scroll down and read all day long. Since Q&A is the focus I think those should be presented right up front.
Thank you for your input, please send me more!
I'm very interested in people with browsers besides IE and Firefox if they see somethign strange or strange behavior.
    Mozilla, Netscape, Opera... please post

i like the concept of the site, layout is alright, maybe a bit to plain and orange.. but not bad...

    free promotion techniques:

advertise on myspace if you have a lot of friends, great method.
hit up popular forums such as ebaumsworld.com, offtopic.com, etc...

The layout seems to be missing something. I'd try to model the layout to something like the following: http://www.judysbook.com/

The orange is way too thick on the layout. Try some more light oranges and make it "lighter". I'd try to redo the logo at the top for something more modern.

Hopefully not from Pay-Pal, eBay, or the only surviving nephew to the King of Nigeria's buddy the late, great whatshisname oil tycoon dude. ...Just kidding.

    Pretty cool man.

At first I though cool looking it , I actually like the orange.
My problem is I am not too sure what the site actually does, my feeling on homepages is that thy should be very simple an tell the viewer what exactly it is all about very easily. Homepages with alot going on don't do much for me
