    ForemanRecipes.com Review

    Hey Guys,

I have been bored lately and decided to try my hand at cooking on the George Foreman Grill...I tried to find a dedicated website for Georege Foreman Grill recipes, but I couldn't. So, I decided to make my own.

    http://www.foremanrecipes.com/

Let me know what you guys think, it's simple and hopefully easy to use...

    Thanks,

    Erik Olsen

    Hi
I like the crisp image makes it look modern to me. I would look into some sort of onmouse over event for the menu at the top as apart from the alt tags it is difficult to see straight away that it is for navigation maybe just a yellow glow around the word.

when i looked i could only see the first page as there were server errors on the others.

    hope that helps
If i am a product of your imagination you should try harder!

I'm not too happy about the white borders. it's too strong. Now for this part, walk with the user, ok. They visit the site, see the picture and then read the text below, ok, they are on a journey, they read the text and then you wish them "happy grilling" ok, now what do they do? The flow from picture > text has been broken. Add the links right there, suggest a path to take, give them a link, like Check out these great recipes. Instead of making them go all the way back up to the menu.

I would suggest putting atleast two menus to give them that flow, i looked, I read and here is what I can click on, all in easy flowing steps. not like i looked, i read and now where do i go? hmmm... oh! there it is on the top!

I think you are off to a good start. I like the dark green but I think I would like it even better if the text was enclosed in yet another box with a light colored background

Remove those google ads from the top, it draws attention away from your nav. I would have your photo at top, then your nav, then content and then if you must google ads.

The photo is great but the text in it is hard to read.

The dotted borders inside on the recipes ruin the design for me, they just clutter it up

I would proberly try to use more viberent background colors when it comes to food, try to excite your user because you have the nice bright picture at the top.

Also I would enlare the text of the menu links to define them from the content text. Maybe even chuck in a table so you can align them a bit better and even give the cells a different background colour.

Apart from that your on your way to a nice site.

White borders to a dk green. Image looks good nice and sharp.
Logo is dropping off on the white areas between burgers.
I'd split that wide block of text into 2 on the left side your text and the right side images and latest recipies. Get some pics of grilled food on that side and the latest recipies, write some of your own. The top navigation reminds me a lot of google ads for some reason, i'd take off the underline and split them using " | " that thing also make them another colour than white, maybe something like the bottom of the google ad but lighter.
Look at the colours in the burgers and use some of those.

Yes also use a spellchecker, you have a makings of a great information site, but please spellcheck there is a mistake on the text now.

The header is really nice as well as the text you have used for the titles.

Maybe try using a hover link for the links using CSS too.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the replies, I changed a few things last night but did not have time to finish them, that is why the navigation is a little off and not styled at all.

Thanks for all your great suggestions!

I hope to make some big improvements on it tonight.

    Thanks again,

    -Erik
