    downloads

I need some opinions regarding the best solution for a large database for downloads.

The site will host thousands of files which would be categorized in databases. Should I go with Coldfusion or ASP?

I have seen fileplanet which has a large database and seems to be using ASP. Any opinion is appreciated.

You're not putting the actual files in the db are you?

Also the frontend doesn't really matter, its your preference. What matters is the backend.

    Right, dont use Access!! LOL

CF or ASP really doesnt matter, as Aspen said. They are just a means of talking to the database from your web page. If you are going to host thousands of files, make sure you get a solid DB
