I use WeBuilder 2005 with CSE HTML Validator Pro. I sometimes even use UltraEdit.

Now, while the example was good - it was long winded -consider dumping

    Code:
    Vim Sucks
    [esc]
    H
    4yy
    G
    p
    :1,$s/Vim/Emacs
    and replacing it with

    Code:
    Vim Sucks
    [esc]
    H
    yG
    p
    :%s/Vim/Emacs/
Here I have saved you around 4 keystrokes

Now what I really hate about vi is that whenever I use a windows based editor, I have to not type in the vi shortcuts

For general text editing with multiple programming languaes i use Emacs; but even though emacs is a great platform for text editing you can't really beat a specialized editor.
For java Idea is a dream, Visual studio for c++, Top Style for html/css, i then fall back to emacs when i need to code on a language that doesn't offer a good IDE.
    I code therefore I am.

Back in the dark ages of 1995, I started with Pico and Vi via telnet. Eventually I discovered something called FTP and switched to Notepad. I stayed with Notepad as my primary editor until about five years ago when I discovered UltraEdit. Now UltraEdit is still one of my most used pieces of Software and is the only HTML/PHP editor I use.

The pipe-to-shell feature is nifty, and much easier to use than the EMACS equivalent because the shell's output replaces the input text instead of going to a new buffer:

    Code:
    $ vi emacs_sucks
    Vim Sucks
    Vim Sucks
    Vim Sucks
    Vim Sucks
    :1,$!spellcheck
    EMACS Sucks

    EMACS Sucks
