    IE6 won't display <img> - Firefox will

    Hi,

I'm a bit stumped. On my home page at the very top I have a 468x60 banner ad for spreadfair spread betting exchange. For some reason, IE6 won't display it, I just see the alt text.
However, Firefox does show it. I can't see anything glaringly obvious about my code that would explain why IE6 doesn't show it.

Does anyone have any ideas why this might be.

    The stylesheet is available here

If anyone has any clue what's causing this I'd be very grateful to hear from you.

    Thanks
    Graham Cox

It could possibly be the sign in the file-name.

    image display

FYI it doesn't show in Opera 7.50 either, but it does in Netscape 7.1, I tried changing the browser encoding from western european ISO (which shows the pound symbol that's in the alt attribute) to unicode UTF-8. Still no image and the pound symbol was replaced by a '?'. Since the image is on your server and not the link's href source, have you tried renaming it?
