    There are three BULLET TYPES for UNORDERED lists:

    <ul type=disc>
    <li>The DISC
    </ul>

    <ul type=circle>
    <li>The CIRCLE
    </ul>

    <ul type=square>
    <li>The SQUARE
    </ul>

    For alphabetic you can use <ol type="a"> or for upper <ol type="A">, but remember that the type attribute to ol is deprecated in new versions of HTML.

    Using css..
    OL { list-style-type: upper-alpha } (e.g. A B C D..)
    OL { list-style-type: lower-alpha } (e.g. a b c d..)
    OL { list-style-type: upper-roman } (e.g, I II III IV..)
    OL { list-style-type: lower-roman } (e.g. i ii iii iv..)
