    How to format list box in FireFox, Internet Explorer

    Hello.

    I've got two questions about formatting a list box. One of the questions below pertains only to the FireFox browser (it works ok in the IE). The other question pertains to both the FireFox browser and the IE browser.

    1). How do I apply italics to the <option>Needs Italics</option> in the list?
    PHP Code:
    <select name="select" size="1" multiple width="250">
    // This don't work (using style sheet in header).
    <option value="one" class="italic">one</option>
    // Using <i></i> tags don't work.
    <option value="two"><i>two</i></option>
    </
    select
    2). This one pertains only to the FireFox. A list box always has a scroll bar at the right hand side in the FireFox browser. The list box below has five blank options below the first two (seven options total). A scroll bar should not appear until there are more than seven options in the list box. The box below works fine in the Internet Explorer browser. It's just the FireFox browser that it doesn't work right in.
    PHP Code:
    <select name="select" size="7" multiple width="250">
    <
    option value="one">one</option>
    <
    option value="two">two</option>
    </
    select
    Thanks.

    1) you can't but try <option style="text-decoration:underline">
    just in case.

    2) try <select style="overflow:auto" .. or even style="overflow:hidden"
