Whatever happened to the renaming of GC?

A while ago there was a thread asking for suggestions on a new name for General Chat. Apparently, an 'outcome' was expected. Did I miss it?

GC renaming didn't happen. Instead, the thread starter's name got changed. From zoo to Rick.

It was decided that General Chat should keep its name, as people were currently familiar with it.
