Administrator, Time on site seems to be out by an hour!!

I'm in Cork in Ireland (GMT) and the time on the site is displayed as one hour before the actual time it is right now.

    Just letting you know

That's because the UK time zone is fixed on GMT and we're currently running with BST.

It does say GMT. I noticed today that the times were wrong for me.

GMT never changes. Our clocks are set to BST (British Summer Time) which is GMT + 1, so there's nothing wrong with the SitePoint clock at all. The time on my watch right now is just coming up to 9.50pm, but the time that will be shown when I hit the submit button will be 8.50pm, or thereabouts - which is the correct GMT time.

Yes, but atomicmunky, you are in the Northern Hemisphere, so I'm guessing that you are on "summer time" or "daylight saving time" or whatever you call it in your neck of the woods. I'm GMT+10 in Sydney and the time is showing correctly for me.

As I said, GMT never changes. So anybody who puts their clocks forward one our during the summer months will have the wrong time showing on SitePoint - they will all be one hour behind. This does not mean that any clocks are wrong - SitePoints or otherwise.

The time here in the UK now is just gone 8am BST - 7am GMT.

and if its really annoying you that the clock doesn't match your watch than go into your setting and change your location ie + 1 hours or - 1 hours etc...

probably will make you feel better although isn't strictly correct

Time is OK in New Zealand (GMT+12). It's good to get to the weekend before the rest of the world
