Sell Your Template threads repeated X times

Recently I have noticed more and more auction threads being re-posted a few times in a few days' period.
If a template doesn't sell, its thread is not bumped, but instead (I don't support bumping!) the new one is created.

OK, I understand the determination to sell, but creating 3-4 threads for selling ONE template is a kind of spamming for me.

If a price is changed - there is EDIT button to update it, not "Start New Thread"!
But sometimes nothing changes, and we still have "new" auction thread in SYT

I agree, but I don't think there's a way to stop that other than report the thread.

Sure. But it is not clearly explained in Guidelines, so theoretically it is not breaking the rules, even though we all feel that there's something wrong about it.

Same with bumping - I always get "Everybody does it" reply when I suggest limiting the amount and frequency of bumps. And again it is not clearly forbidden in Guidelines - so "everything what's not forbidden, is allowed" tactics comes into play.

Yeah, bumps are really annoying. Especially this one guy in the domain name forums who always starts his bidding at like, $800, and then takes 500 price drops to get it down to $40, and even THEN people don't bite. It gets really annoying.

• no BUMPING allowed,
• do not repost the same thread if you are not getting a response - repeated threads will be removed as will probably be the orginal one

it something that I need to think about as I would rather people picked an accurate price then kept dropping it BUT also its a cheats way of bumping a thread BUT also its a hard thing to stop as some people it valid!

essentially yes but don't forget that we are making some changes to that area which will hopefully improve this type of situation also. what we don't want are useless thread being brought to the top and the ones we want to see going off the page.

What I figured was some sort of "cool down" period.
Like say after 2 weeks of inactivity list it again or something.

to be honest I am not sur ethat is fair on others either - and also presume we are still talking templates section - as I think due to SYS going paid and few people are throwing things in there instead.....

but you know us always up for a good idea to help

Man, it'd sure be nice if there were a system invented to be fair to both sides, but seeing as no matter how well the system works, people will still complain.

There has to be a solution
