how do i create my own search facility?

Hi, I am having problems creating my own search facility for my webpage. I want to be able to find words and lists i have on my page to give better order. Is this done by storing this information in a database, and using php?
I want to know the easiest way to do this. Help will be greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome to the forums,
The usual way of doing this in php would be from a mysql database or an ODBC database.
It is possible to do it using a webpage using fopen() fread() etc.

Read the manual pertaining to there functions and it should give you an idea.
If you need help putting it together, shout back.

    Cheers
