    php on Windows 2K Pro

    I've been trying to install php to win2k pro but the result was disapointing.

    The error messages were:

    Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\PHP\extensions\php_*.dll' - the specified module could not be found.
    (I did replace php_*.dll to represent many of it)

    I've checked everythings thoroughly though, from the location of the files to its existence. Everythings seems okay to me but not to my OS

    just visited this too
    http://www.umesd.k12.or.us/php/win32install.html
    and follow it thru but still negative

    Please help.

    Try going to http://www.phpgeek.com/ and installing the software from there.
    It automaticlly installs and configures PHP, MySQL, Apache Web server and now I think it does perl too.

    well.....
    when I installed in on my box, 2kpro too, I got an error too...

    can't remember if it's the same as yours though...

    BUT, it had something to do with the database I selected, and it said that I had to configure php.ini myself to fit with the database. Did it give this msg to you too?
    If it did, php works fine!!! just try it with phpED or php Coder or any program that can run php...

    Thanx Dean
    I'll try that one... but the thing is I don't really want to install apache for my Win2K pro OS but I'll give it a shot and see how it goes..

    =X= => I belive you've got the same problem here. I'll find out how to solve thisone...

    and you must remember as there is two ways of installing php on win2K I would suggest you go with CGI executable (php.exe) instead of SAPI(so much problem with this one)

    You shouldn't really need any of the extensions. Unless you need one of them for a specific reason, I would leave them all commented out, since PHP4 is now compiled with mysql support by default.
    Please don't PM me with questions.
    Use the forums, that is what they are here for.

    This is cool...
    what I figure out is actually only these files can be included, there are 22 files in total.

    extension=php_bz2.dll
    extension=php_ctype.dll
    extension=php_cpdf.dll
    extension=php_cybercash.dll
    extension=php_db.dll
    extension=php_dba.dll
    extension=php_dbase.dll
    extension=php_dotnet.dll
    extension=php_exif.dll
    extension=php_filepro.dll
    extension=php_gd.dll
    extension=php_hyperwave.dll
    extension=php_iisfunc.dll
    extension=php_imap.dll
    extension=php_java.dll
    extension=php_mhash.dll
    extension=php_ming.dll
    extension=php_pdf.dll
    extension=php_pgsql.dll
    extension=php_printer.dll
    extension=php_yaz.dll
    extension=php_zlib.dll

    Now I begin to enjoy my new php and mysql on win2k pro environment.

    btw thanx freddy for your comment
