Why do ad publishers reject forums?

Why is it that companies such as casale, tribal, interclick...etc., do not accept forums? It's counterintuitive! That's where people come to together- you would think that this draws more traffic.

What is it that they're looking for? What can be added to forums so to make it attractive to these companies and get accepted?

    hmmm....

because there are two many useless impressions generated on forums.
People simply click around the forums and they dont even stay on the page for more than a couple seconds, those impressions are considered useless
advertisers arent stupid, they aren't paying you for nothing

There is an overabundance of new sites out there being put on line just to sell advertising. They don't deliver the goods as most people going to a forum probably are more interested in discussing whatever it is that the forum is meant to discuss than they are in clicking on YATA (Yet another trashy Ad). Since the conversion rate is so poor, why waste bandwidth transmitting ads that never get a response.

The major problem is that most advertizers today have overly saturated every medium available. They fail to realize that human threat-factors psychology only notices something new or different. MOTS (more of the same) advertising is just so much noise that the human brain starts filtering out. Start studying artificial vision and you begin to realize how this works.

A lot of raw information is thrown out by the brain to allow it to detect edges, motion and certain shadings. Most people don't see everything that the eye sees, only what the brain chooses to decipher. You bombard them with too much junk and it goes into the waste heap.
