Some thing alike may happen, if getting a variable through GET ot POST and forget to html_entity_decode them
But trim() also works some times![]()

What is really funny about this thread is that after all the suggestions to use trim() in my particular situation html_entity_decode() was the answer. Don't know the reason why but it works for me.

absolutely, a lesson for us all always trim() your email out of the posts or use tis function....
MikePHP Code:function replaceCustomer {
if($numpty == 'Client') {
str_replace($customer, $senseOfHumour, $numpty);
return $numpty;
}

Only a woman can read between the lines of a one word answer.....
I started out with nothing... and still got most of it left!

following the function
always remember to echo!
and yea, comment that once in production environment!PHP Code:echo "checking result of trim()";
