    How would someone go about making a page like this?

    I have seen a few sites like this. I love the images behind the right hand navigation. My question is, how do you get content on top of an image?

    Do you have to use layers?

    I really like the look.

    create a table with the background an image instead of a color. then you can create text or add pictures on top

    I think the content comes in regardless though - so from a users POV, it maybe better...
