    BIG help :)

    Hi,
i need some of your english language skills, as i'm missing some. I'm a mauritian from Mauritius, where creole ,(me french) is the main language. And i must approve that i lack some english skills to publish some text on my futur webdesign studio site( htpp://www.areacool.com/template.htm or http://www.areacool.com/final.htm problem with left table, will be repaired soon, by the way, what do ya think of them?. I didn't really know where to post this thread, but maybe the text could go through webdesigning. Anyway, i need some english text to put on my website. And i will ask your help to give some phrase, text to put on it. It's a really important thing for me, and i will please ask you to help me. I need an
    -introduction text

    -Design text
    -graphics text

-intro in portfolio page (aprox 8 lines)
-intro for our services (see below)
-intro for our VERY low prices (yet very good)(a logo $35 or less, in fact is that cheap ?, i really dunno!)
-intro for our customer service page (FAQ,contact, feedback,..)

BrianStudio (my webdesign co) comments on first client,
    =====
BrianStudio has provided our company fast and
satisfactory customer support and the logo they
designed for us are simply fantastic! I am looking
forward to work with this web design company in
    future!
    http://www.hyperstop.net
    Rommel
    =====
it can give you some ideas. You could say that we believe in customer support a lot, we have much creativity, we are more friendly than professional ( I think it's not very good to say that, isn't it?)
You could also tell that we create an atmosphere with our layout, and that we make very eye-catching layout ( You should also know that we create logos, webpage layout ( NO CONTENT) graphics (buttons,....) and Re-design. You could also tell that we are quite modern and technic ( http://www.areacool.com or http://www.areacool.com/template.htm or http://www.areacool.com/all.gif
    or http://www.areacool.com/renaultmaurice.htm
or http://www.areacool.com/index7.htm ( too much loading time, not good) or http://www.areacool.com/final.htm (will be my webdesign site, problem with left table, will be repaired soon )
) You could also make some ideas from the websites i've mentioned. you can also add some fancy phrase like "here at BrianStudio, we make you have a name on internet,.... you know, those normal attracting stuff

I repeat, i need those text
    -introduction text

    -Our Design text
    -Our graphics text

-intro in portfolio page (aprox 8 lines)
-intro for our services (mentioned above)
-intro for our VERY low prices (yet very good)(a logo $35 or less)
-intro for our customer service page (FAQ,contact, feedback,..)

if you need more info, PLEASE ask me, i'll tell you all info you need. Even if you write 1 intro, i'll be VERY happy for your kind help. remember, if each of you write a small piece, it will create the big piece ,

    Brian,

I saw your site before and I think some great improvements have come since then. Good job on the interface. I like it. Now for the bad part.

What you are asking of the forum is not a matter of finetuning or giving tips and tricks. What you are asking for is content creation. That is a vastly different thing.

My friend, as much I would like to help you, we are talking something that I charge my clients $50/page of content. If I create it I charge big. Most of my clients will provide their own content as they are likely to word things best anyways. I don't mind helping int he tweaking and advice category, but content design is something completely different. email me directly if you wish to go down this road with me, but somehow my recommendation would be to write your stuff up in french or creole and have it translated.

    Hope this helps.

A year ago I launched my own gaming website and my english wasn't that good also. I think the best thing you can do is improving your english skills by writing the articles yourself. You could always ask someone who has the right skills to correct them before you post them on your own website.

It really helps when you do this yourself, I've had great benefit of my website and the main language I speak online is English. I am Dutch myself and almost never talk to Dutch friends because I find it a slow language and am used to type English now. But serious, having your own website could really help you to improve your English skills, afterall, the international language IS Enlish

    Just my two cents...

Brian, I'm sure several members here will volunteer to proof-read sections of your content for you. I don't mind at all.

I can think of so many designers out there who has had this problem. Just think about it, haven't we all.

It's taken me a long time to get my English in tact, but now that it is, I can only say that it is all thanks to the sites that I have done.

However, I'm still not confident enough to proof someone else's content.

Brian, I would think that the best way to do this would be to get people to put their names here if they'd like to help, then either PM them or email each person a different section. That way you'll know for sure that all of it has been checked.

Perhaps one of the Advisors can change the title of this thread to something like "Proof readers needed" to make it a bit more clear what you're asking for.

Also, you will have to decide whether you want your site to be in English-English (ie:colour) or American-English (ie:color). I have a feeling that webmasters tend to sway more towards the American-English spelling unless they are English themselves.

I'd suggest typing everything up in Word and then use the spelling and grammar check. This won't find everything, but I think it would help a lot. After you have some content up I'd be happy to look it over.
